Box Scores vs. NGU

MURFREESBORO - The men's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision to North Greenville University this afternoon, moving them to 0-13 on the season. Seth Snyder scored two goals for the Crusaders to help propel his team to victory.

NGU jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after Snyder beat two Chowan defenders and slipped a shot by the keeper just :17 into the match. Chowan's Ali Abdi knotted the match at 1-1 after beating two Crusader defenders and sending the ball past their keeper in the 36th minute. Both teams would play out the half to a 1-1 tie.

Snyder added the go-ahead goal just two minutes into the second period for th Crusaders, giving them a 2-1 lead. Despite several opportunities to score the Hawks couldn't find the back of the net, and fell with the eventual 3-1 score.

NGU tallied 27 shots while Chowan got off 15 shots in the match. Ronnie Thompson got his first start in goal, he had ten stops with three goals allowed.
