Box Scores vs. ECSU

MURFREESBORO - The Hawks slipped to 17-10 on the year after dropping a straight sets match to Elizabeth City State University. Elizabeth City State entered the match atop the CIAA at 23-9 and left 24-9. The Vikings downed the Hawks 25-19, 25-20, and 25-20.

The Vikings hit at 30% on the night (34-79) while Chowan had 30 team kills and hit at just 13% on the night (30-98). Antoinette McCollough paced Chowan with 12 team kills while Desaray Turner had seven kills on the night. Melissa Hallam had 24 assists and three service aces in the match.

For ECSU, Chelsea Amick has a team-high 10 kills. Samarri Griffin had three kills and four solo blocks.

Chowan will travel to North Greenville for a trimatch on Saturday with Montreat and the Crusaders.
