Women's Soccer Picks up Road Win at Coker

Box Scores vs. Coker

HARTSVILLE, SC - Two first half goals helped to lift the Hawks over Coker College on Wednesday afternoon. The Hawks got goals from Ashley Bradford and Jaqueline Ferns in the 22nd and 25th minutes of the match to take a 2-0 shut out victory.

The shut out win marks Kristy Brown's seventh shut out of the season. Brown played 90 minutes iin goals, getting four stops.

Bradford took advantage of a deep pass from Lacy Crafton and beat Coker's keeper to give Chowan their first score of the match at the 22:44 mark. Just three minutes later Ferns scored an unassisted goal from about 30 yards out to give Chowan a 2-0 lead. The Hawks managed to keep Coker out of the goal for the remainder of the match to take the 2-0 win.

Bradford had eight shots, four of which were on goal, with a goal scored. The Hawks have just one match remaining on their schedule as they travel to UNC-Pembroke on October 29th in a doubleheader with the men's squad.
