RICHMOND - The volleyball team ran their overall record to 17-8 after a straight sets win over Virginia  Union University on Wednesday night. The Hawks won with final set scores of 25-21, 25-13, and 31-29.

The Hawks tallied 43 team kills while the Panthers has 24 team kills. Freshmen Tori Lewis and Desaray Turner each had double digit kills for Chowan. Willis had a match high 11 kills while Turner tallied 10 kills on the night. Setter Melissa Hallam tallied 30 assists in the match.

The Hawks will take off until Tuesday, October 21st when they travel to North Carolina Wesleyan for a 6:00pm match.
