MURFREESBORO - The men's soccer team slipped to 0-16 on the season after dropping an 8-0 decision to Wingate University. The Hawks were out shot 28 to eight in the match. Two of Wingate's players accounted for six of their scores.

Jamie McKenna opened the match up for Wingate with a goal in the 10th minute, one of his three scores on the day. Junior Nyemb added the first of his three goals just six minutes later.Wingate took a 6-0 lead into the half and then added two more goals in the second period to take the match 8-0.

Josh Cenci played the first period in goal picking up the loss. He allowed six goals and had no stops. Ronnie Thompson played the second period in goal, allowing two goals and getting four stops.

The Hawks will play their next match on Saturday when they travel to NC Wesleyan for a 1:00pm match.
