Women's Soccer Plays to a Tie at Barton College

Stephanie Montague scored her second goal of the season tonight

WILSON, NC - Despite playing two overtime periods, the women's soccer team moved to 2-1-1 on the year after playing to a 2-2 tie at Barton College this evening.

Barton jumped out to an early lead after scoring a goal within the first minute of the match. The Hawks would score two goals before the half to take a 2-1 lead into the second period. Barton tied the game in regulation to send to the game into the overtime periods, where it was stalemate after two, ten minute OT periods. Clara Danzeisen and Stephanie Montague scored goals for the Hawks.

The Hawks got off six shots in the match while the Bulldogs had a toal of seven shots. Freshman keeper Kristy Brown had five saves in the match.
