Box Scores vs. Coker

MURFREESBORO- The Chowan fans were treated to a gem of a soccer game Saturday afternoon at Hawks Soccer Field.  The Hawks were paced once again by sophmores Ashley Bradford and Clara Danzeisen.  Each player netted one of the two goals scored by the Hawks.

The scoring started early when Ashley Bradford beat Coker Goal Keeper Margaret McCoy in the 31st minute.  Then, in the second half Clara Danzeisen added to the lead with a goal in the 56th minute.

The game was controlled by the Hawks as they outshot the Cobras 17 to 13.  Tiffany Lee and Jackie Stepp combined for 9 saves and Katie Perkins chipped in with an assist.

The Hawks improved to 2-1 on the year and travel to Barton College on September 4.  Game time is slated for 7:00 pm.
