Box Scores vs. Coker College

HARTSVILLE, SC - With the game knotted at 53 apiece, Converse College hit a shot with :04 ticks on the clock to help lift them over the Hawks with a final score of 55-53. The Hawks trailed by ten points at the half and battled back to take the lead in the second period, but couldn't hold off the offensive attack of Converse College late in the game.

Today's game featured four ties and two lead changes with the Hawks suffering in the final seconds of the game. Chowan shot 31% from the floor, hitting 19-62 shots taken from the floor. They also won the battle of the boards grabbing 29 rebounds to Converse's 26 total rebounds.

For Chowan, AJ O'Banion notched her first double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Ashley Banks chipped in the nine points in the game on a 3-6 performance from beyond the three-point arch. Chowan will face off against UNC-Pembroke on Monday at 5:30p.m. to wrap up their play prior to Christmas. They will return to the court after break on December 28th when they travel to UNC-Greensboro, an NCAA DI institution.
