Box Scores vs. Coker College

HARTSVILLE, SC - Despite taking a lead into halftime, the women's basketball team fell to Coker College as they mounted a comeback in the second half. The Hawks fell with a final score of 59-52, dropping them to 2-7 on the year.

The Hawks took a narrow 25-23 lead into the second half but Coker got up by as many as 11 points in the second half to pull away. Chowan shot 37% (19-51) from the floor while hitting just 1-11 from three point land in the game. Chowan edged the Cobras in the battle under the boards as they grabbed 36 rebounds to Coker's 33 boards.

Brittany Nicholson paced the Hawks with 15 points while AJ O'Banion had 14 points in the loss. O'Banion went into the game averaging just over 14 points an outing also had three blocked shots.

The Hawks move to 2-7 overall while Coker College picks up their first win of the season at 1-7 overall. Chowan will play against Converse College tomorrow at 2:00pm in the second day of the Coker College Classic.
