Box Scores vs. West Va Tech

MONTGOMERY, WVA  - The women's basketball team dropped to 2-4 overall after losing to West Virginia Tech 64-41 in the opening game of the Small College Classic this evening. The Hawks shot just 24% from the floor in the game, making just 13 of 55 shots taken.

The Hawks trailed 30-11 at the half and committed 35 turnovers in the game. The Hawks however did win the battle under the basket with 45 total rebounds, 17 of which were offensive. AJ O'Bannion had 10 rebounds to lead the Hawks in that category while freshman JaShonda Crawford had seven points to pace the team offensively.

Chowan will play tomorrow against the University of the Cumberlands at 2:00pm tomorrow to wrap up the Small College Classic.
