MURFREESBORO- Chowan University fell to Ferrum College 1-0 on Friday afternoon.

For 78 minutes the game stayed scoreless with both teams locked into a defensive battle. Then in the 79th minute Ferrum's Daniel Fochler scored the lone goal of the game. This goal gave Ferrum only their second win of the season.

Ferrum outshot the Hawks 14-10. The Hawk's Josh Cenci had 4 saves in the game.

The Hawks move to 2-12 on the season and return to action Saturday against Bluefield State. Game time is scheduled for 4:00 pm at Hawks Soccer Field in Murfreesboro.
