MURFREESBORO - Clara Danzeisen's two-goal performance propelled the Hawks to a 2-0 victory over visiting Mount Olive College this afternoon. Chowan out shot Mount Olive 15 to 12 in the game while keeper Tiffany Lee shut out the Trojans with 6 saves. 

Chowan got on the board first at the 29:43 mark of the first period when Danzeisen hit the back of the net from 25 yards out. After taking a 1-0 lead into the half, Danzeisen iced the game for Chowan with her second goal in the 82nd minute. Ashley Bradford was credited with the assist on the second goal. 

Lee played spectacular in goal. Her efforts combined with the play of Chowan's defense aided in today's shut-out victory, their second shut out of the season. 

Today's win gives Chowan a 4-3-1 overall record while Mount Olive falls to 4-4 on the year. The Hawks will travel to Ferrum College on Sunday for a 3:00pm match.
