MURFREESBORO - After taking a 2-0 lead over Averett early in the match, the Braves gave up four straight goals to the Cougars eventually falling 4-2. 

The Braves struck first in the match when Trae Burgess found Eddie Harris for the score in the box. Joseph Rampersad gave the Braves a 2-0 lead when he scored unassisted at the 30:24 mark. Averett went on to score four answered goals to take the 4-2 win.

Chowan tallied 14 shots in the match while Averett totaled 24 shots. Nick Anders had 7 saves in the match for Chowan.

The Braves move to 1-4 on the year and will host Faulkner University at 12:00pm on Sunday.
