Rose Family Tennis Complex
About Rose Family Tennis Complex
Named in honor of the Rose family of Ahoskie, the Rose Family Tennis Complex is home to the Chowan University men’s and women’s tennis programs. The complex is built with eight modern and well-lit courts, an open air patio with tables and chairs, restrooms, and a storage area. The courts recently underwent lighting upgrades and now all eight courts have LED lighting to ensure coverage from court to court when playing at night.Â
The courts are home to the CU men’s and women’s championship tennis teams. In 2017, the CU men’s tennis team won the Southeast Region Championship at home on these courts. They went on to represent Chowan at the NCAA D2 National Tournament in Florida. The tennis program hosts University activities courses, youth camps, and community clinics throughout the year on these courts in addition to serving as the programs main competition courts.
