    The softball team at Chowan University has played an integral part in the upgraded facilities that they practice and play on. With support from special donors as well as the athletic department over the years has allowed for upgrades to the batting cages, playing surfaces, fencing, and construction of a two story press box/concessions area. The infield has been upgrade with sport specific clay and sand, while the outfield was replaced with new sod.
