GREENSBORO - For the second day in a row the Chowan University men's soccer team was held scoreless at the Guilford College Classic. After losing 5-0 yesterday to Guilford College, the Hawks dropped a 7-0 decision to Averett University this afternoon. Chowan was held to one shot in the match while Averett got off 28 shots in the match. 

CHARLESTON, SC - The Chowan University football team remains winless on the season after losing 56-14 to The Citadel this afternoon. The Hawks put up 311 yards of offense behind the arm of rookie quarterback Cameron Stover who passed for 245 in his first collegiate start. The Ctiadel combined for 374 yards of offense with 243 yards coming on the ground. This was the season opener for the Bulldogs who will travel to play Arizona next weekend. The Hawks will take off this week and then return to the gridiron with a trip to Winston-Salem State University on September 18th. 

FAIRMONT, WV - The Chowan University volleyball team moved to 0-4 on the year after dropping two matches in day two play of the Fairmont State Falcon Fest today. The Hawks suffered two losses on the first day to West Liberty State and Point Par,k, both in straight sets. Chowan fell with final match scores of 3-0 to Fairmont State and 3-1 to Concord University today.
