HAMPTON, VA - The CIAA announced today the 2010 Preseason All-CIAA team with Chowan players grabbing four out of the twelve preseason team spots. Last year's CIAA Rookie of the Year, Karina Monroe, headlines the All-CIAA team for Chowan while teammates Antoinette McCollough, Tori Lewis, and Callie Armistead also earned spots on the team. All four were All-CIAA performers a year ago, helping Chowan to the school's first-ever CIAA Championship. 

Karina Monroe and Antoinette McCollough were named Preseason All-CIAA as middleblockers while Tori Lewis was named Preseason All-CIAA outside hitter. Callie Armistead earned a spot on the team as a setter. 

The Hawks open the season on the road at the Fairmont State University Falcon Fest on September 3rd and 4th. They open home play on September 7th against Saint Pauls College.
