FORT LEE, VA - Chowan's golf team finished up in third place at the CIAA East Division Round Up hosted by Virginia State University this afternoon. The Hawks moved up a place from fourth after yesterday's first round to take the third spot with a two-day total of 670. Virginia State University claimed the top spot after turning in a 626 and Fayetteville State came in third with 638 strokes. Cliff Forbes shot a 76 today to lead his team and finish up in 5th place individually. 

Corey Garvey shot an 83 and Calvin Wyrick turned in an 85. Gregg Brooks rebounded after yesterday to shoot an 89. 

Chowan will travel to a dual match with Newport News Apprentice School on Friday at Sleepy Hole Golf Club in their next outing.
