FORT LEE, VA - The golf team finished in 2nd place at Virginia State University's Spring Invitational this afternoon. The Hawks shot a combined 337 as a team, thirty strokes off of Virginia State's winning team score of 307. VSU's Greg Hunt and Wes Sides each turned in a 74 to help lift the Trojans to a first place finish. For Chowan  Corey Garvey shot a team-low 80 while Gregg Brooks turned in a career-low 84. 

Cliff Forbes shot an 86 while Josh Riddick shot an 87 to round out the top four scores for team play. Chowan's Dillon Lowe shot an 89 in his first collegiate match.
