Robert Holland Tabbed HSRN Football All American

Freshman Wide Receiver Robert Holland named to HSRN All American Team
Hartly, DE - The Heritage Sports Radio Network (HSRN) has announced their 2009 All-American Division I-FCS and Division II teams.  The team is comprised of student athletes from the nation's Historical Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).  The team and coach of the year are selected by the HSRN production staff. CU's Robert Holland was named to the team after turning in a solid freshman year for the Hawks football program. 

Holland led the CIAA in receiving through ten games this season, amassing 1,078 yards on 86 catches. Holland had a record setting day against Shaw University with 18 catches for 221 yards on October 17th. He earned four CIAA weekly honors this year. Holland earned a spot on the All-CIAA Rookie Team and the All-CIAA First Team for his performance this season. 

The HSRN National Players of the Year – were selected by the fan poll that has become a weekly icon with their sports coverage of the athletic year in football and basketball.  The football National Players of the Year are Prairie View's K.J. Black (QB) and Tuskegee's Justin Hannah (DB).  The National Coach of the Year is Prairie View's Henry Frazier, who guided the Panthers to their first SWAC Championship and post season win since the 1960's.

Holland is one of 12 players from the CIAA to be named to the HSRN All American team this year. Below is a full list of the HSRN DII All Americans.
