MURFREESBORO - The volleyball team bounced back from an earlier loss against St. Andrews College with straight sets win over Lincoln University in their final match of the 3rd Annual Janet Collins Invitational.  The Hawks out hit the Lions 24 to 9 for their third win of the season. Antoinette McCollough and Desaray Turner were named to the All Tournament Team for the Hawks. 

Chowan won with final game scores of 25-17, 25-11, and 25-20. Desaray Turner tallied a team-high 8 kills while newcomer Karina Monroe added 7 kills. Victoria Lewis had 6 service aces while Callie Armistead had 20 assists. 

The Hawks went 3-1 in the tournament to open the season. They will host North Carolina Wesleyan College on Tuesday at 6:00pm in their next outing.
