FORT LEE, VA - The golf team totaled 362 team strokes to finish third at the four-team Virginia State University Invitational. The one-day tournament was played at Fort Lee's Cardinal Golf Club. Virginia State took the top spot in the tournament with 301 strokes while Virginia Union game in behind them at 347 strokes.
Elizabeth City State rounded out the tournament in fourth place with 387 strokes. VSU's top two golfers shot the low-rounds of the day with 72's. Josh Bryant came in with Chowan's low-round after scoring an 83. Cliff Forbes shot an 84 while James Pardo shot a 93. Michael Edwards rounded out the Hawks' scoring with a 102.
Chowan will play in the Louisburg College Whirlwind Tournament this weekend in their next outing.
