HICKORY, NC - The women's soccer team suffered a 5-0 defeat at Lenoir-Rhyne University this afternoon, dropping the team to 1-7 on the year. The Bears improve to 7-1 after the win. Chowan was held to five shots in the match while Lenoir-Rhyne tallied 37 team shots.

Kristy Brown tallied 12 stops in 90 minutes in goal for Chowan but also gave up five goals. Erin Jackson had two shots for Chowan in the loss.

The Hawks will travel to Greensboro on Monday for an afternoon match up with Greensboro College in their next outing.
