NEWBERRY, SC - A late goal by Newberry College propelled them to a 2-1 victory over the women's soccer team this afternoon. The Hawks were out shot 29 to five in the match. The fall to 5-12 on the year after today's loss. 

Newberry College scored a goal at the 12:09 minute mark of the first half to take a 1-0 lead into halftime. Chowan's Alisa Terry scored on a break away goal in the 59th minute to knot the game at 1-1. But Newberry scored a goal at the 76:24 mark to take the eventual 2-1 win over Chowan. 

Chowan wrapped up their regular season tonight. They will participate in the NCCAA South Region Tournament later this month.
