Softball Puts Four on NCCAA All South Region Team

MURFREESBORO , NC - The Chowan University softball team placed four of it's team members on this year's NCCAA All South Region Softball Team. The Hawks wrapped up the season at 31-24 overall and claimed their first-ever CIAA Tournament Championship in April. They also garnered the program's first-ever NCAA DII post season appearance. Fahren Munro and Mindy Byrd garnered All NCCAA South Region First Team honors while Ashley Huffman and Allie Kolezynski were named tp the NCCAA All South Region Second Team at their respective positions.

Hawks Season Comes to an End after Loss to West Virginia Wesleyan

BLOOMSBURG, PA - The Chowan University softball team's season came to an end today at the 2010 NCAA DII Atlantic Regionals after losing to West Virginia Wesleyan University 8-2. The Hawks completed the season with a 31-24 overall record. West Virginia Wesleyan moves on in the loser's bracket to play Indiana University-PA. Bloomsburg University awaits the winner of that game in tomorrow's championship game.
