MURFREESBORO - Chowan University's Head Baseball Coach, Aaron Carroll, announced two of his three early National Letter of Intent signees this afternoon. William Ward of Newport News, Virginia and Zachary Butler of Winchester, Virginia signed NLI's in November, accepting athletic grant-in-aid to play baseball under Carroll in 2009-2010.
WASHINGTON, DC - One day after trouncing Columbia Union College at the UDC Independent Classic, the women's basketball team dropped a tough game to host-team University of the District of Columbia. The Firebirds topped the Hawks 64-52 to give the Hawks their tenth loss of the season.
MURFREESBORO - The men's basketball team ran their overall record to 7-5 after beating Columbia Union College 88-61 in court action tonight. The Hawks dominated from the tip off in the win, their fifth in a row.
